About Teaching While Human
Teaching While Human is a space for teachers who want to reconnect, with their purpose, their creativity, and themselves.
If you're feeling stretched thin by expectations, short on planning time, or just looking for something that feels honest and useful, you're not alone. This site is here to offer tools and stories that help you slow down, reflect, and teach in a way that feels more human.
We believe that teachers deserve more than survival strategies. We deserve space to reconnect with our humanity.
Through reflective newsletters, creative planning tools, and practical classroom resources, Teaching While Human supports teachers in building a practice that’s both sustainable and rooted in care. More to come!
About Me
I'm Heather Tills, an educator, writer, and curriculum designer with over a decade of experience supporting multilingual learners in high schools, adult education, and teacher PD. I created Teaching While Human during my MBA capstone project as a way to honor the emotional and intellectual labor of teaching, and to offer something that feels honest, useful, and beautiful.
